About Me

I’m TJ Owens — a Bowling Operations Consultant with over 10 years of experience in the bowling industry. I started at the front desk when I was 16 years old and worked my way up to Operations Manager of the largest bowling alley in Stark County, Ohio.

I have held officer positions in multiple leagues, launched leagues and tournaments from scratch, served as Commissioner of the Stark County High School Bowling Conference during a crucial transition year, created scholarships, and organized fundraising events for various charitable causes.

I have seen the operations of a bowling alley from every angle possible — from front-line customer service to high-level operations — and I bring a unique perspective into both the local and national bowling market.

My mission is simple: help independent bowling alleys perform better by applying real-world strategies that actually work in today's environment.

Common Focus Areas (Based on Your Center)

My 5 Pillars

The 5 Pillars
Each pillar targets a high-leverage operational area. Together, they create consistent traffic, stronger revenue per guest, and a center that people want to return to.

The Owens Method™ in one sentence: Drive traffic, maximize value, build rockstar staff, create momentum with empty lanes, and deliver hospitality that keeps people coming back.

Pillar 1: The Numbers Game Principle

“Get people through the door, treat them well, make them want to return.”

Pillar 2: Empty Lane Monetization

“Empty lanes are assets — not dead space.”

Pillar 3: Rockstar Staff Development

“A center rises or falls on staff strength — especially during chaos.”

Pillar 4: Value-Based Pricing

“Price based on total per-person value — not lineage.”

Pillar 5: The Atmosphere Advantage

“People don’t remember what they paid — they remember how they felt.”
